Special Events/Series Classes
New Year's Eve Yoga Nidra ~ Sacred Intention Setting for 2019 (third annual!)
Come sink in to your Self as we ground and meditate in community to discover your Sat Sankalpa, or Sacred Resolve. Different than a New Year's Resolution, this resolve is a sacred intention we set for how we choose to show up in our lives - for ourselves as well as in support of our families and communities. This resolve is more focused on how we want to BE than what we want to DO.
There will be discussion and guidance to help you discover your Sat Sankalpa, followed by a practice of Yoga Nidra, or Psychic Sleep. This is an ancient method of deep meditation to relax the body and mind as we sow the seeds of this resolve into our subconscious and hold space for healing and release. Our guided meditative journey will take us through the layers (or Koshas) of our being as seen through the lens of Yoga - physical (Anamayakosha), energetic (Pranamayakosha), mental/emotional (Manomayakosha), intellect/intuitive (Vijnanamayakosha), and bliss (Anandamayakosha).
Most of our time together will be spent in stillness, and comfort is essential! Please bring at minimum a pillow for your head to rest upon and a blanket to keep you warm, and anything else you might desire to create a cozy nest. Please also bring a journal, writing utensil, water bottle, yoga mat, any props you love, any allies or additions to the altar, and an open heart.
Monday December 31st, 4-6pm (doors open at 3:40 for you to come settle in).
We'll meet at Flow Yoga & Wellness, 118 Third St in downtown Hood River.
This event is offered by sliding scale donation (value $30, suggested range $15-45). Please contribute what you can, no one will be turned away. Scholarships available for those who self-identify with marginalized identities. We believe this is an accessible event to all hearing folks (please let us know if this isn't true!)
